About Milton Cricket Club

A proud community club with a passion for cricket and a welcome for everyone.

Our Club

Milton Cricket Club has been part of the local community for many decadess, bringing together players of all ages and abilities under a shared love of cricket. We're a friendly, inclusive club where the game is played in the right spirit — competitive on the pitch, warm and welcoming off it.

We field two senior teams in the Bassetlaw & District Cricket League and are always looking for new members, whether you're an experienced cricketer or someone who's never picked up a bat before. If you want to get involved, we'd love to hear from you.

The League

The Bassetlaw & District Cricket League

The Bassetlaw & District Cricket League is one of the oldest and most respected amateur cricket leagues in the East Midlands, with clubs competing across multiple divisions throughout the summer season.

Milton Cricket Club competes in the Bassetlaw League with both our 1st and 2nd XIs, representing the village with pride each weekend from late April through to September.

Our Teams

1st XI

Our 1st XI competes at the higher levels of the Bassetlaw League, taking on the best clubs in the region. The team is made up of experienced and committed players who bring dedication and skill to every match.

If you're an experienced cricketer looking for a competitive but friendly club, we'd love to have you involved. Training takes place throughout the week and fixtures run every Saturday during the season.

2nd XI

Our 2nd XI is the heart of the club — a team where players of all abilities come together to enjoy cricket in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you're returning to the game after a break or playing for the first time, you'll be made very welcome.

The 2nd XI is also a great pathway for younger players developing their game, with experienced club members always on hand to offer guidance and encouragement.
